Dr Verdiana Morreale, Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Pisa, will deliver a seminar entitled “Business, Human Rights and Democracy” as part of the European Master’s Programme in Human Rights and Democratisation (EMA) at the Global Campus of Human Rights, Venice Lido.
During the seminar, she will present research findings from the REBALANCE research project, exploring the relationship between corporate activities, human rights violations and democratic processes, with particular attention to the role of human rights defenders in challenging corporate abuses and advancing corporate accountability.
