Martino has done post-doctoral research at the Chair of Economics and Management of Innovation (CEMI) of the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) and was Research Assistant at The Danish Centre for Studies in Research and Research Policy (CFA) of Aarhus University and Bocconi University. Her research interests are in applied economics, with specific topics including: R&D policy evaluation, knowledge spillovers, transitions from employment to self-employment, female entrepreneurship, labor diversity, and labor mobility.
