The BRAVE open-access dataset—made possible by contributions from over 50 collaborators—documents alleged human rights and environmental abuses involving 83 major European multinational corporations from 2000 to 2020, providing systematic data for comparative and longitudinal analysis of the impacts of corporate operations.
The BRAVE database aims to provide a robust empirical foundation supporting academic research, policymaking, social movement advocacy, and the advancement of corporate accountability. We anticipate that these resources will be valuable for everyone interested in corporate roles in social and environmental justice, human rights, and environmental issues.
